“Shakespeare Out” will be a roughly 60 minutes docufilm focused on William Shakespeare’s legacy in pop culture, far from the world of drama. To what extents did mass media like cinema or comics write back to the English author’s work? Are there any innovative ways to give new life to canonic texts, so long exploited by plenty of successful adaptations? In which areas is Shakespeare’s theatre used as formative or reformative tool? These are just some of the starting points for our study.
